Shows I watched this summer:
- Jujustu Kaisen
- Kimi ni todoke
- My love for yamada lv999
- Violet Evergarden
My reviews on each show:
Jujutsu Kaisen: I rate this show a 9/10. The reason it isn’t a 10/10 is because I didn’t like the ending for the show, since it kinda left us on a cliffhanger, and the next season comes out in 2025. Other than that the show was good, I liked the mix of action, and slice of life, and it was a very interesting show that I recommended watching. This show also has a manga to it. Manga is a Japanese comic book type of thing. The show is an action show, so there is a lot of fighting, and some gore as well. Season 1 of this show is on Netflix, and the movie, but season 2 is on crunchyroll.

Kimi ni todoke: I rate this show a 10/10. I loved this show, and it originally started in 2008. I watched it at the beginning of this summer, and nobody would’ve guessed there would be a season 3 this year, but surprisingly in August a new season came out for the first time in over a decade, which shocked a lot of people. I recommend watching this series, it is a slice of life, plus a romance series, that takes place in a Japanese high school setting. You can watch this on Netflix.
My Love for Yamada lv999: I rate this show a 10/10. This is a manga series and a tv show. I watched the show first, and It was very good. I watched the whole series in 1 day so I really want season 2, since I really enjoyed the manga, and there are lots of episodes that they could still make with the chapters of manga. I wish they would continue the manga, but the author has medical issues right now I think, so it’s been a few months since the last chapter has come out.
This show is another slice of life, and romance Japanese show. It is about a girl who recently got dumped, and this “pro-gamer” guy who is quiet. They meet on an online game, then accidentally in real life. I really hope this show continues, because I feel like it could be a lot longer since the manga is pretty long. I watched this show on Crunchyroll.
Violet Evergarden: This show is so good, it is definitely in my top 5 honestly. I wasn’t expecting to like this show so much, since it seemed pretty boring at first, but as I watched it I started really enjoying it and getting attached to the characters. This show takes place in war, when the Major is given this teenage girl who is called a “weapon of war.” After the war they become separated, and Violet makes it her mission to find the Major again. This show is very sad, when I watched it I wasn’t expecting to cry so hard. It is super good, and I recommend it, you can watch it on Netflix.
I recommend these shows, if you have watched them, let me know what you think of these shows, and if you enjoyed watching them!
