A few weeks ago I went to Youth and Government, Thursday through Saturday. Since I was in 8th grade we were in the CLI group, with about 70 other students. We were a part of the Mexico YMCA delegation.
On the first day there was a big group picture with everyone in YAG. YAG consists of 8th- 12th grade, with all the different delegations from many different schools. Everyday the 8th graders were provided with lunch and dinner, and we went to Starbucks every morning for breakfast, and caffeine.
In the Mexico delegation we had 2 boys, (Isaac, and Max) and we had 11 girls. (Caroline, Makinley, Rylee, Maria, Katelyn, Dylann, Sophie, Jalayah, Lily, Maggie, and Lydia.) That was in CLI. We all had a good time hanging out with our friends while writing bills. My group got recognized for being one of the best bills. My group had Dylann, Lily, and I had a bill that wanted to lower hospital markups, and our bill passed.
On Friday night there was a party, and also there was the Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson fight, and they let us watch it on a projector in the CLI room. The party was fun, Sophie and I played giant Jenga with these 3 girls from high school in another delegation. We had a good time, and I stayed up until 11pm to finish the Jake Paul and Mike Tyson fight.
