Movie Review

Avatar: Way of the Water, in my opinion, is the perfect sequel to the first Avatar that came out in 2009. In 2009 it was revolutionary for its time, from the actors to the special effects it only improved from there. The special effects in the sequel were just as good and even better than the first with the advancement in technology. It captured the beauty of existing habitats in Pandora (the planet in which Avatar is set) and kept the same enchanting and mesmerizing feel in the new habitats. I love how they kept the protagonists in the spotlight, Jake Sully played by Sam Worthington and Neytiri played by Zoe Saldana, but added new characters that led the plot well. The director James Cameron, who is known best for The Titanic, The Terminator, and Aliens, did an amazing job directing this movie. Even though it was 3 hours and 12 minutes long, it was pleasant to watch and didn’t even feel like 3 hours.
