Lenten project

Turkey and Syria recently had an earthquake. Some schools recently donated money for Turkey and Syria. In the last 3 weeks there’ve been 3 earthquakes. More than 46,000 people died and many of them were living in their cars because of the damage. Many schools saved money to buy them clothes, food, and hygiene items. Our school is raising money for first aid kits. They also made the way of raising money fun for the kids by letting us wear a green shirt if we brought a dollar the first time. The second time if we bring a dollar we can wear any green shirt. The third time we can wear casual clothes if we bring $10. Personally I thought it was a good idea to mix casual clothes with donations.
Here’s Josslynn Howell’s opinion on this topic. She thought it was great because not many people have noticed what happened in Turkey and Syria. Also we should donate because many families/children have died and or need help. They don’t have houses and have to live in cars and on the streets and it’s full winter there and it’s snowing while they’re living on the streets. We also should pray for them and for Jesus to help them and help them get off the streets unharmed and painless so they can have a happy and healthy life to live with their family and or children.
