Movie Review – Super Mario Bros.

Illumination, Universal Pictures, and Nintendo collaborated together to create a movie adaptation of Super Mario Bros. On April 5th, 2023 the movie was released to theaters and a lot of people were overjoyed. The movie stars Mario and Luigi trying to make a living plumbing. We get to hear the Mario rap from “The Super Mario Bro. Super Show!” which is a Mario Bros cartoon that aired in 1989. They fall into the green pipe or warp pipe, and both end up in different parts of the Mario Games world. We get to follow both of their stories as they go through the strange world. We also get to see Donkey Kong, Princess Peach, a bunch of toads, Bowser, and more of the creatures in the games. Personally, this was a really good movie, and I could understand it even with my little knowledge of the Mario Universe. The soundtrack made it even better and Bowser’s song was the most beautiful piece of music I ever heard. Some famous people who worked on this movie were Jack Black who voiced Bowser, Chris Pratt who voiced Mario, Anna Taylor-Joy who voices Princess Peach, and Keegan Michael-Key as Toad. Overall this movie is great for people who grew up with the Mario games and people who know almost nothing.
