The Soybean Festival

I recently finished the show, “The Summer I Turned Pretty,” and there was an episode of the characters at the carnival. They had a great time, and it made me miss going to carnivals. Later that month the Soybean Festival was in town!

A couple weekends ago, August 25th through the 26th in Mexico MO, the Jaycee’s put on their annual Soybean Festival. There were multiple rides, the Avenger and Scat were a couple of them, some rides were accessible for younger kids who aren’t old enough for the bigger rides. The whole square was packed every day, and there were fun things for all ages. 

Here’s what Julia Goerne had to say about the ride “Avenger”: “The first time I went on the ride it wasn’t scary, because it wasn’t fast at all, but the second time it was way scarier, because it felt like it went 10 times faster. I recommend this ride for whoever is going to the Soybean Festival next year.” 

There were many food trucks and places around the square to get food. There were great stores, like the Cookie Club which was a big hit. Everyone loved their boba. I recommend going to the Soybean Festival next year if you can. It is a very enjoyable experience.
