Last year I went hunting in October. I go every year and the year before last year I got a doe but the year before that I got a 6 pointer which wasn’t my best. This past year I got a 13 pointer and it was really big. I shot it with a 30-30 Winchester. Me and my dad were just hanging out in the deer stand and we heard the leaves crunch on the ground. I looked over the stand and I saw the huge deer. It was like 20 yards. All the adrenaline was rushing through me and I was shaking. This happens every time. I lined up and shot. We climbed down from the stand which took awhile because it was high up. We went searching for a blood trail. We found the trail and followed the deer which was in a creek with no water. My dad took the picture before we dragged it out. We hooked up the deer to a ratchet strap and connected it to a truck. I was reversing the truck and the strap broke and my dad flung back into the creek onto the mud. I was scared because I heard a pop and I thought I popped the tire. I checked up on my dad and he was okay so we replaced the rope with a chain and tried again. This time we got it out and I stopped the truck. We put it in the truck and we cleaned up and left.
