New Year, New Middle Schoolers

Whether you have been, are, or will be in 6th grade it’s a big transition to lockers, new teachers, and multiple classes. It can be scary, but the 6th graders this year have got it under control.

I, Chelsea Gifford interviewed three sixth graders about how they like junior high so far and how their life is going. Let’s hear what they have to say…

  • How is junior high so far?

Jake: “The day goes by faster, and less stressful.”

Natalie: “I love junior high since you do have more classes. It’s more stressful but I enjoy it.”

Audrey: “ I like it because you’re not just always sitting in one specific classroom.”

  • Do you like multiple classes or did you prefer many subjects in one classroom?

Jake: “Yeah.”

Natalie: “I love it.”

Audrey: “Yes, it’s fun.”

  • What is your favorite food?

Jake: “Crab legs.”

Natalie: “Tortellini”

Audrey: “Chicken noodle soup.”

  • What’s your favorite sport?

Jake: “Soccer.”

Natalie: “Basketball.”

Audrey: “Volleyball.”

  • What’s your favorite thing to do on the weekend?

Jake: “Sleep.”

Natalie: “Chill.”

Audrey: “Chill.”

  • Who’s your favorite superhero?

Jake: “Jesus.”

Natalie: “The incredibles.”

Audrey: “Spiderman.”

  • What’s your current favorite hobby?

Jake: “Hunting.”

Natalie: “Playing the trumpet.”

Audrey: “Drawing and doing crafts.”

  • What’s your favorite book

Natalie: Half a chance.

Audrey: Percy jackson.

Jake: “Inflatable dinosaurs”

Natalie: “A pink fairy.”

Audrey: “Tiffany from the movie, Chucky.”

  • What do you want to be when you’re older?

Jake: “Doesn’t know yet.”

Natalie: “Anesthesiologist”

Audrey: “Author.”

  • What is your dream car?

Jake: “Peel p50.”

Natalie: “Honda Pilot model 2016.”

I’m joyous that the sixth grader’s are doing so well. It was delightful interviewing these responsible students. I’m sure they will continue to do well for the many years ahead of them.
